These tools are simplifying my work and saving my time by making everything organized and planned in advance. That makes my job efficient and at the same time always connected with clients and understanding the latest trends. These tools not only make my work more efficient but also help me stay connected with clients and understand the latest market trends. In this post, I will talk more about the tools that I use daily in my work and how they support me. I will also discuss the new tools and how they are beneficial, and what are the advantage and disadvantage, and how they can make us successful in a professional context.

My current job and digital tools
In my job, my main responsibilities include all aspects of marketing, from developing marketing strategies to posting on our social media platforms. To manage digital campaigns effectively and strengthen the company’s visibility and reach our goal, I use several digital tools daily, such as:
- LinkedIn: I use LinkedIn to find our prospects and connect with professionals. Our principal channel is LinkedIn, so our main focus was on that platform, and we try to be very active on it.
- Miro: Miro is an online whiteboard that I use with my team for brainstorming ideas, planning marketing campaigns visually, and using it for remote workshops and idea development. It is a very easy tool to use and lets us connect and collaborate effectively.
- Slack: This tool is our main channel at work. Slack makes our daily communication smooth and allows instant messaging and makes sharing files easy, and makes teamwork efficient.
- Monday: Monday is my main project-management tool. I make a monthly plan and use it to organize my marketing activities, track progress, and assign tasks to the team as well. I can also make a schedule for the activities, and I find it more transparent for my team in case of absence or holidays.
These tools are essential to succeed in the position; they support communication, creativity, and organization of the daily tasks. However, since this industry is constantly evolving, I am always active and looking for new tools and ways to make my work engaging and very productive.
Five new social media tools
1. ChatGPT
ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence (AI) launched IN 2022. It was developed by OpenAI and uses natural language processing to generate human-like text, answer to any question with any language, help solve a problem and give advices, translate content in a good way and generate ideas as well.
Working in marketing needs creativity and efforts while writing blog posts, marketing content and emails as well. ChatGPT can be used in that and write a draft of multiple blogposts and generate ideas for the coming ones. It also helps in awareness content while having a campaign where we need to post constantly. I use it myself to simplify complex technical topics and make it easy to our non-technical audience. ChatGPT illustrate the latest wave of AI-driven productivity tool that became famous nowadays and each one is using it for different purposes.
This tool became necessary in our lives but still we have to be very cautious and not give any personal information. It has a strong memory and can keep some information that we do not want to share publicly. My advice is to use it only for professional purposes and be careful while using it.
2. DALL·E
Also developed by OpenAI, it was launched in 2021. DALL·E generate images only from simple text prompts. DALL·E can help me in visuals for social media and our website, it is very creative tool that create graphics related to your chosen concept also it makes quick mockups for the campaigns and that way I do not have to ask for help from a designer.
This tool is new field of generative AI art, it shows how artificial intelligence is changing the work and also able to take people’s positions by being creative and finish tasks in very short time.
Although DALL·E generate images and help getting the right image for your text, but it still needs modifications, sometimes the picture include some parts that we do not want in the design. For this reason it is best to use to get inspiration and then ask company designer to design the ides you have in mind also you can send them the picture you got from the toll and ask them to make some modifications. That way is the best way to use the tool and still benefit from it.
3. TikTok
TikTok was globally launched in 2018, it represents a concept of publishing short videos and pictures and start a live video in order to communicate with others at the same time. It is one of the popular platforms because it allows people to share their hobbies and make creative videos and also advertising to certain businesses by using entertaining content.
In my role TikTok was considered as a platform where we share more about employees daily routines and celebrations, parties and game nights. We do not publish any professional content but it was targeted more to new commers to the company. The idea is that they can have an idea about our environment and that will make them feel relaxed and want to join such a happy and positive environment.
I find TikTok as an easy platform to reach our target audience and make our company known globally by humanising the brand through behind-the-scenes clips.
4. DeepL
DeepL is launched in 2017, an it is well known for its high quality translation because it captures nuance, tone and context of the text and provide a humanised translation instead of word for word machine translation. It supports fewer languages but over thirty languages but prioritise quality and accuracy. This could be used to write technical blog posts in order to have correct grammar, enhance style and use the perfect words for our target audience. It will help us a lot to have unified language and also translate some documents like PDF, Word, Powerpoint in different languages that are used in my company such as English, Finnish, Arabic, Vietnamese and Thai.
5. Pi
Pi was launched in 2023, it is an AI powered personal assistant and conversational chatbot that is designed to be supportive, empathetic and human centred AI companion. It focuses first on listening and being supportive while answering. It provides diplomatic, kind answers and help users brainstorm their ideas. The special feature about Pi is that it remembers past conversations and adapts to users’ style and preferences.
Pi can be used in professional context when having communication and conflict preparation and you do not have an idea on how to proceed. Pi will ask simple question to understand the situation first and then help figure out the solution. Pi can also be used for career planning, it can help me find out what would be the next role I can apply for in order to grow and learn more, it can also help setting goals and support personal development.
Positive and negative aspects of social media in my daily work
Today, every successful business is thanks to social media which makes it known and reach out to targeted audiences. Social media enhance visibility and improve brand awareness and help get new clients. It also facilitates direct interactions, quick and easy meetings that build trust and loyalty. Another interesting fact is it enables easy network and collaboration and bring professionals together just in online events. Social media help us learn every day new things, get informed about current trends, competitors and technologies. The platforms are an inspiration of a new different ways to communicate and get work done easily from any location in the world.
Social media often comes also with significant risks that only professional people recognise. It can keep all our data and use it for different purposes and someday attackers can exploit. Another challenge of social media is endless content which leads confusion or misinformation. It can also be a source of distraction when not used properly, this can reduce productivity and focus. While using social media for my company’s online presence it was very important to keep its reputation safe. Sometimes one feedback can harm the brand image. For that reason as a marketing team we try to be very careful what to post and handle some situations with professionalism and transparency.
In order to use digital applications successfully, we need to take in consideration several factors such as clear objectives, knowing exactly what tool we want to use for specific goals. Consistency is also an important factor, posting regularly, being active in communication, and build trust with the audience. Another essential factor is the quality of the content, the accuracy, value and the tone of what we share digitally determines company’s credibility. In my company we are very concerned on what is published in all our social media platforms.
Self-evaluation
Digital tools and social media have become an integral part of my working habits. I use several powerful platforms, but I always discover new ones and continue to learn about the potential for improvement. Tools like ChatGPT and DALL·E made my working life easy by saving time, enhance creativity, and innovate. I also use other platforms in order to enhance our company’s visibility and outreach.
I have also learned that social media can be effective when used responsibly and in a positive way. In my job, the use of digital tools is essential, and it can either make the company grow and get more traffic and clients or damage the company’s reputation. Digital tools are also mandatory in everyday communication, supporting strategic planning, teamwork, and marketing success.
