-applies knowledge in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of a perioperative patient’s nursing care
-applies knowledge and mentoring when preparing a patient for surgical treatment and in postoperative monitoring and nursing care
-examines, monitors and maintains a perioperative patient’s vital functions
-knows the principles of infection control
-has good perioperative nursing skills and can use the required instruments and equipment correctly and safely
-masters safe perioperative medication, fluid therapy and blood transfusion and can perform drug calculations accurately
-guides and mentors the patient and relatives at various stages of the perioperative nursing process
-implements and assesses multi-professional co-operation in perioperative nursing
– is able to assess and develop his or her perioperative nursing skills
