I use the Kela card when doing business in healthcare services and at the pharmacy. In addition, my child’s kela card is used in the same connection. I get compensation for healthcare services and medicines. Kela pays our family child benefit every month.
I have acquired a European medical card while living in Spain for a year. I still have the medical card, even though I have already moved back to Finland. I have never had to use the card. I have a valid travel insurance, which I believe I will primarily use if I get sick abroad.

I have visited the OmaKanta service several times. When logging in, I use my bank credentials. The transaction has been smooth.
KEVA
On Keva´s website, I can see how much pension I would be paid if I retire. My retirement age would currently be around 68 years.
Digital gap
Digitization causes inequality between people. Some people do not know or are unable to use digital services. Obstacles may be eyesight, operating skills or lack of equipment. For example, my own grandparents do not know how to use the Internet at all. The population needs guidance and counseling in the use of electronic services. Some of the elderly are supported by their relatives in the use of electronic services. In the future, however, the IT skills of the elderly will increase. The use of electronic services requires users to invest in a smart device or computer and an internet connection.
Digital competence test
I did the test and the results were very interesting. However, completing the test was time-consuming and challenging at times. There were a lot of questions and the answers were slow.

These online stores are a part of everyday life for me. With the help of travel applications, I book accommodation when traveling with my family and compare destinations. I have found good deals through the sites and saved money while traveling. While getting to know the destinations, I have been able to read other customers’ comments, after which it becomes easier to make my own decision. I try to make use of customer experiences when purchasing goods as well. I mostly buy everything online instead of traditional stores. I try to choose a reliable and primarily Finnish online store instead of a foreign and unreliable one. Prices that are too low set alarm bells ringing.

On Omapolku, the customer can find the healthcare digital treatment paths open, the social care digital service paths and self-care programs open to everyone. It is possible to log in to Omapolku with bank credentials, a mobile certificate and a certificate card. In addition, foreigner identification methods are used. Omapolku includes self-care programs that are free and open to everyone, with the help of which those who are financially weaker have the opportunity to obtain reliable information as a preventive measure without having to contact, for example, a private medical clinic.
Self evaluatation
I feel that I have good digital skills. Through the course and especially the digital skills test, I learned to recognize new things about my own digital skills. In digitization, attention should be paid to information security and learning to look for reliable sources. This is already very familiar to me. In my work, I encounter the development of digitization and learning a lot. When working in healthcare, digitalization is still in its infancy at my workplace and requires a lot of development. In addition, I work with the elderly, so the risks in the development of digitalization are reflected in my work. In addition, I encounter different views among employees about digital services. Resistance to change is strongly present in everyday life.
