Description<\/b><\/p>\n

I have just got mid-term of my Internal Medicine practice. Thereby I have had significant milestone.<\/p>\n

During this internship I have got really great opportunity to get Nota Bene Experience + improve my skills + apply my privies knowledge at real life.<\/p>\n

  • For my Patient Case – I have started to write my assignment and investigated a diagnose & history of the disease & Pt anamnes<\/li>\n
  • I have more deeply focused onto Internal Medicine Care, theory of the Internal Diseases<\/li>\n
  • Refresh and once again update my previous knowledge and theory<\/li>\n
  • I have really improved my skills: ECG, i.v. infusion,\u00a0cannulations, i.v. + i.m. + s.c. injections; taking blood for laboratory<\/li>\n
  • know the way Haw+Whay + When are providing Antibiotics, Insulin, Marevan and Atrodual list<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    Acoording to the goals and objectives I may say that :<\/p>\n

    Learning skills:<\/b><\/p>\n

    So , once again , fulfilling the eMedication passport would be a great objective for me and I will take it as one of my focus points for the rest of the internship. Furthermore, I have started combining theory into practice. I ask a lot of questions and searching for the best way of learning ay this ppoint .<\/p>\n

    Ethical knowledge and professionality:<\/b><\/p>\n

    I have found my own way to approach patients.Slowly but surely communicating with patients is becoming more easier for me , that\u2019s a good point . I have noticed that patients are different and require various kind of approaches . Also I am brave in utilizing the multiprofessional collaboration.<\/p>\n

    Clinical skills:<\/b><\/p>\n

    I have had Nota Bene \u00a0shift (1 day) at \u00a0the Dialysis department. Thereby I have got new knowlege about this procedure and the removing waste products and excess fluid from the blood when the kidneys stop working properly.<\/p>\n

    Continue revising and memorizing main and & most common medications in Internal medicine.I have been able to do a lot during this very internship and my clinical skills are improving.<\/p>\n

    I have been training, helping patients with their daily activities. I have ben training with drug therapy skills. Administering IVABs , IV drugs, cannulating , preparing and starting blood transfusions. I have done all of that in the field . Furthermore, I have also been in drug therapy, and I have been able to deal patients drugs. I have documented patient care in Pegasos.<\/p>\n

    I have been taking some patient vitals daily . A tip for me which my supervisor gave me is to integrate ABCDE in to this and examine the patients even more than needed, to get experience. I have been very precise with aseptics, which is excellent indeed.<\/p>\n

    Teaching and guidance:<\/b><\/p>\n

    • I am trying my best when it comes to guiding an internal medicine patient when discharging him or her , however, I cannot do it fully in Finnish yet, but I am really eager and ask for help if needed my tutor nurse and she translates my thoughts . I can explain the Medication list for a client and , for instance, e.g. .\u00a0Pt’s \u00a0Marevan Kortti.<\/li>\n
    • I am explaining the Medication list to Pt’s and hi-lighting the Medication list for \u00a0it is very important.<\/li>\n
    • Also I can adequately evaluate myself in this kind of skill . Of course this one needs an improvement.<\/li>\n
    • I have identified my responsibilities and activities for the next two weeks, and also reviewed my strengths and weaknesses .The meeting passed quickly enough (literally 35-40 minutes). So, now it looks like I have a plan and I should start completing it .<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • I have to more deeply focuse for Internal Medidccine Care<\/li>\n
      • I have to have more knowledge with pharmaceutical treatment<\/li>\n
      • I have to : full fill the eMedication Passport with my tutor nurse<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

        Also I have to always remeber to work with patients accordingly to the ABCDE protocol no matter what , as it is a very useful tool which will assist me to observe and comprehend patients\u2019 clinical status better .<\/p>\n

        So at the end I will have a more and better scholastic way of working with my own patients & just in general being a nurse<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
