I am a nurse in home care at Äänekoski city. In home care nurses works alone usually. Daily I use Vitacom application. With the help of Vitacom we can communicate safety with other coworkers who cares same patients. Vitacom is fast tool communicate with other coworkers. You can read Vitacom messengers when you have time. The messages are preserved two week. Somtimes this two week period has been problen when somebody need to read messengers after two week.

Linkedin is a professional networking service aimed at working life and career opportunities. Linkedin is connected by job seekers, professionals and companies. Linkedin is not much of a carved application in the healthcare industry. It may be that its use gradually becomes more common, nursing staff and well-being areas as well as private service providers meet there. I don’t have Linked’s app yet. I also don’t feel that it’s being timely at the moment. I chose Linkedin because it is common in other areas.

Miro is a visual collaborative and ideation platform. Miro can be used for projects planning, workshops and teamwork, for example. Miro can be used to create charts, mindmaps, timelines, process descriptions. The clarification page in Miro means an area made to clarify a specific topic. I think Miro could be useful in healthcare as an example when planning a new approach. I chose Miro’s application because it was a very foreign word to me.

Monday is a tool developed for project management and teamwork organization. Monday is a popular application showing projects as clear visual boards. Monday can be used to clarify team tasks, schedules, responsible persons and project progression. Monday could also be useful in the healthcare industry when planning teams. I chose Monday because it was a complete stranger to me.

X is a messaging platform that contains text content, images of videos in real time. X messaging service allows you to chat and gather communities. I feel that I can’t directly use X messaging service as a home care nurse in my job. However, I could expand my knowledge of world affairs and health care status through X messaging service. I chose X messaging service because it’s often featured in the media and I’ve started to get interested in joining it.

Issuu is an application that allows you to easily turn PDF material into visually impressive and so-called interactive online. The Issuu app is suitable for content providers, publishers and marketers, for example. I think the Issuu app doesn’t have to give me a home care nurse in my job. I chose Issuu to review the application because I didn’t know what to use it for.

Self-assessment

I learned a lot from digital tools through this mission. I noticed that there are a lot of them and more will be developed in the future. I mostly got to know digital tools. I think a good digital tool is one that fits your purpose. For example, many of the digital applications I’ve looked at above are hardly suitable for a nurse’s job, but are useful in some other work industry. Social media is a good assistant to a person, but its use always requires consideration and assessment of the accuracy of content.
