Fortunately, I met with the doctor for the patients overview with my mentor nurse. During the doctor visit, a ward round and residents reassessment was done. I continued to administer medication to patients under my mentor supervision. The second week included so much learning where I was given Pegasus and omni 365 login for easy documentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The residents&#8217; safety and daily observation are crucial components of their care. At the end of each shift, I write report on Pegasus which includes the daily care and observation I completed for the continuous care process, a review of the resident&#8217;s history and the implementation of the care plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, we practiced some sporting and exercise videos on YouTube to help the residents\u2019 movements. Similarly, I was privilege to work with the multiprofessional team like doctor and the physiotherapist. The physiotherapist helped the residents with some walking exercise to help the resident\u2019s mobility stable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>GOALS ACHIVED FOR THE SECOND WEEK<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Working according to ethical guidelines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applying evidence-based gerontological nursing and home care skills and competence in a resource-oriented way to working at the client\u2019s home and in home-style environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applying and developing gerontological skills and competence in different environments and teams.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improved my communication skills with the residents<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Documented correctly and use health records in compliance with data protection and data security instructions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To become proficient in ergonomics and aseptic procedures in various settings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The second week continued with the care of residents and giving basic care to them.
