This training term is an important opportunity for me to learn the most recent information, technology, and practices in the nursing profession, allowing me to provide optimal nursing care in a modern and dignified setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Learning skills<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Given my fondness for children, I am drawn to the field of paediatrics. Although I’ve cared for my own children, nursing sick children in a hospital setting is a distinct difficulty. I consider myself a “child whisperer.” To meet my internship objectives, I will carefully arrange my schedule with my mentor nurse and reflect on my experiences through weekly blog entries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Recognising the changing physical and biological development of children and adolescents, I emphasise their rights and follow the ethical rules that govern nursing care. I will get familiar with pertinent legislation, such as the Child Welfare Act and the Rights of a Child in a Hospital (NOBAB), in order to provide ethical and respectful treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The healthcare industry, particularly the hospital, lives on collaboration. Caring for children may necessitate coordination with professionals outside the traditional hospital walls, such as social workers and police in cases of suspected abuse. Because of the unique character of such circumstances, I am devoted to improving my interpersonal skills and attentively studying how my mentor nurse handles them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Regardless of whether a child has parents or guardians, I recognize their individuality. My nursing care plans will prioritize each child’s individual needs, perspectives, and cultural identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To provide comprehensive treatment, I will use a variety of methods to obtain information about children’s typical growth and development. Involving family members in the care process, I will inform them of available resources under the supervision of my mentor nurse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I will work closely with my mentor nurse, who specialises in pediatric drug calculation and fluid therapy, to prepare and administer pediatric medications. I am also interested in implementing various therapies or plays to alleviate the suffering of ailing children, and I will seek advice from my mentor nurse on appropriate interventions.
