What Kind of Manager/Leader Am I?

  • What are my strengths in the managerial work?

My strengths as a leader are honesty and fairness, and I treat everyone aqually. I can share responsibility with other team members and I have strong vision of common goals. Based on the personality test, one of my leadership qualities is that I don’t like to use power. People like me prefer to think all as individuals, regardless of the person`s position (Personality test 2024). I also consider it a strength that I have experience in a practical matters.

  • Am I able to get excited and inspire others?

Inspiring others is not necessarily my strength. I think the best way to inspire others is by your own example. As a manager, I would try to find the employees` strengths and encourage them to realize those strengths. I would also try to give enough feedback and I would try to pay particular attention to positive feedback. Based on the personality test, I prefer to empower my subordinates think and act independently (Personality test 2024).

  • How do I react to changes?

Changes are a part of working life these days and you have to learn to live with them. Changes are not necessarily always bad things, but they can also be opportunities. I think I can relate to changes well. I feel that certain types of changes and the versatility of work task improve work motivation. A challenge for me as a manager can be how I work with employees in a change situations and encourage them.

  • Which areas should I develop in order to become a better manager/leader?

Altough I usually get along well with everyone, I would see communication skills and how to communicate things to employees as an area of development. For me, receiving criticism can also be a development target- I may also have too strong view on some things and making compromises can be difficult. My work experience so far has been specialist work, which is a lot around technical issues. My development target is also matters related to sales work and its management.

Based on the personality test, one of my leadership qualities is that I don’t like to use power. I prefer to think of everyone as equal, regardless of the person’s position. Based on the personality test, I encourage my subordinates to think and act independently.
