I have worked in the same organization for more than four years. My duties have changed a lot during that time: for optician to store manager. I have to use a lot of digital tools daily. The most used are Teams, Email and Whatsup. I used tools to communicate with my colleagues. In addition, i use several programs for, for example, planning work shifts and creating appointments.

The organization I work for is active on social media because it´s so big company. I have to admit that I don´t follow it on any channel. I don´t use social media in my work at all. Not much in my personal life either, only Facebook, Whatsup and Snapchat. I mainly use these for sending messages with my friends and family. Here are five tools that I might be able to use with my daily work.

LinkedIn

There are a lot information of my organization and people who are working in the same field. This could be helpful, for example, in hiring new employees. I could find information of different events and so on. In addition, I can share information of us to other by myself. I have found it difficult to create my own profile. That´s why I am not in there.

Facebook and Instagram

Although the organization shares informations through these channels, I could share things from our workplace. This could help to reach our customers better. Many company have their own profile on these channel and they publish an updates daily or weekly about what´s going on. I should try.

ChatGPT

I´m working in the social and healthcare sector. With ChatGPT could be used to find information about diseases and medications quickly. In some situations I need to know how these things may affect the eyes.

Doodle

Sometimes I have a lot of meetings and alarms of these coming on Email. Doodle could make it easier to coordinate these.

Thoughts

I think that social media is a good thing of some ways. It could help of working and make it easier. I should learn to use them more in my work. The world changes all the time and social media channels are used more and more. However, it´s good to remember media literacy. The internet has its own risks.
