DIGI CITIZEN
KELA
I use my Kela card in parallel with my driving license when visiting pharmacies and health care units. Kela cards for children are also often used. My child and I have regular medications, for which we receive Kela reimbursement at every pharmacy. If necessary, my child visits a private clinic, and we receive Kela reimbursement for these visits.
When I was ill with the coronavirus and in quarantine, Kela paid me allowance for it, as well as when I was at home with a child who had contracted the coronavirus. Kela pays me child benefit every month and I also pay the healthcare fee for higher education students 2x per academic year.
our family already has a European Health Care Card for everyone. It has never been necessary to use it yet, and there is always voluntary travel insurance that also covers possible illnesses while travelling. With that European card, I would, of course, receive basic health care services according to the rate of the residents of the destination country, if necessary. However, I do not believe that I would even use primary health care services, especially outside the Nordic countries.
OMAKANTA JA KEVA
I have often visited the My Kanta service to view the health information recorded about me, and I always log in with my online banking credentials.
On the Keva website, I can see how much pension I would be paid if I retired. The amount I pay depends on what I earn during my career. My retirement age at the moment would be about 69 years.
DIGITAL SHOP
I visited Temu.com. The website of the online store was confusing and it was difficult to find the product they wanted. There are also so many options in every category. The products are affordable, but ethically it is not sustainable to buy on the site. Products in an online store often infringe such copyrights. Also, as I understand it, products are produced in poor conditions at exploitation prices. I understand that Temu.com has its own user base. I have heard that the ordered products are delivered, but there is a lot of variation in quality and size.
INNOKYLÄ
In my work as a project coordinator, I have used innokylä.fi sites. From the side purchase, I have been looking for thoughts and ideas for producing the outputs of my own project. At the same time, I have gained more understanding of creating new service models. I think that the wheel does not need to be reinvented every time, but if someone has already made a good model or output, it can be modelled where applicable. Before the end of the project, the intention is also to take the project’s outputs there
DIGITALIZATION AND DIGITAL GAP
People who choose not to use or can’t use virtual services may face several risks and challenges, particularly in today’s increasingly digital world. They have limited access to information and may miss valuable knowledge, job opportunities, news. They may become socially isolated because virtual services facilitate social interaction, communication, and networking. People who don’t use these platforms may find it challenging to stay connected with friends, family, and professional contacts. Especially elderly or peoples with specials needs are at risk of falling out of the digital development journey. Taking care of many everyday tasks without digital services is difficult, if not impossible, today
DIGITAL COMPERENCE TEST
I did digital competence test. Based on that, I have good understanding on Safety and information. Most to develop is in production, especially on production and sharing and automation
Self-Reflection
In this assignment, I stopped to think about digitalisation more broadly and its effects on individual well-being. Now many things are taken online and genuine encounters are missed. It’s also too easy to immerse yourself in the online world. It was refreshing to look at different websites critically and over time, it gets done too rarely. Similarly, cookies are often accepted, even if you really don’t always need to. I am going to improve this myself.
