Digitalisation is transforming society and working life faster than ever before. New technologies, remote work, artificial intelligence, and expanding digital services are continuously reshaping how we work, communicate, learn, and interact with organisations. In this rapidly evolving environment, understanding digitalisation is no longer optional – it has become an essential part of both professional life and everyday citizenship.

This blog has been created as part of the Digitalized Working Environment course and documents my learning journey throughout the course. Throughout the blog, I explore how digital transformation is influencing society, organisations, and everyday life while reflecting on these themes through my own professional experience and personal observations. At the same time, I have developed practical skills in using WordPress and writing blog content, both of which were new to me at the beginning of this course.

The blog is organised into three thematic sections, each focusing on a different perspective of digitalisation. Digi Society examines how digital technologies are transforming organisations, working life, and society. Digi Citizen explores digital citizenship, public online services, digital competence, cybersecurity, and the opportunities and challenges of living in an increasingly digital world. ePlatforms focuses on digital platforms, collaboration tools, social media, and digital applications, reflecting on how they can support communication, teamwork, learning, and professional development.

Throughout the blog, I combine ideas from the course with current topics, academic sources, and my own experiences from both working life and everyday life. My aim is not only to demonstrate what I have learned during this course, but also to reflect on how digitalisation is shaping the future of work, society, and our daily lives.

I hope these reflections encourage you to consider both the opportunities and the challenges of digitalisation—and perhaps to reflect on your own experiences as well.
