I am a registered nurse with a strong educational background and continuous professional development in mental health and psychiatric care. I graduated from Joensuun Lyseon lukio in 2009 and completed my Bachelor of Health Care degree in Nursing at Karelia University of Applied Sciences in 2015.

Throughout my career, I have actively strengthened my clinical competence through specialized training. In 2017, I completed Aggression Replacement Training (ART), MAPA training (Management of Actual or Potential Aggression), and ABC of Group Therapy training, which enhanced my skills in managing challenging situations and supporting group-based therapeutic work. In 2018, I further developed my expertise by studying Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) methods and participating in documentation audit training at Tampere University Hospital.

More recently, I completed training in Everyday Data Protection (2021) and a 30-credit program in Short-Term Therapy Methods (SHORTUM) led by Liisa Uusitalo-Arola and Jenny Nyberg in 2021.

My education reflects my commitment to evidence-based practice, patient safety, therapeutic interaction, and continuous professional growth.

Working life

I am an experienced healthcare professional with a strong background in nursing, mental health, psychiatry, and specialized care services. I began my career at Kontiolahden terveyskeskus, working as a practical nurse and registered nurse in various departments, which provided me with a solid foundation in primary healthcare.

I continued to develop my expertise at Honkalampikeskus within the Pohjois-Karjalan Sairaanhoito- ja sosiaalikuntayhtymä, working in a developmental disability unit, and later at Sovatek-säätiö in a substance abuse detoxification unit.My experience also includes internal nursing positions at Siilaisen sairaala in Joensuu and youth psychiatry at Kuopion Yliopistollinen Sairaala, Julkulan sairaala.

I further specialized in forensic psychiatry and demanding psychiatric care at Tampereen yliopistollinen sairaala, Pitkäniemen sairaala, where I worked in both the forensic unit and EVA unit for several years.Since 2021, I have worked at Pihlajalinna Oy as a mental health nurse and later transitioned into recruitment. Currently, I work as a Recruitment Specialist, combining my clinical background with strong people and organizational skills.
