Digital tools I use in my job and my freetime
Microsoft Teams
Teams is essential for remote work, allowing efficient collaboration through chat, calls, meetings, and file sharing. I hold meetings and have chat conversations throuhg Teams with my colleagues, customers and suppliers. It is a quick way to handle various things.
When using Teams, it is important to remember what information can be shared and what cannot. To facilitate this at our workplace, all information to be stored is classified as either internal or suitable for different needs, such as information to be shared with stakeholders
Social Media
LinkedIn is a valuable platform for professional networking and staying informed about industry trends. I may share publications published by the our company on Linkedin, but I don’t make my own publications.
Other Platforms: I use Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and WhatsApp for personal communication. These medias I use only freetime conversation with my colleagues, friends and family. Whatsapp or other sosial media is not allowed to use by work communication. Only if the information is public information. Whatsapp and other sosial medias apps are not a secure options for chat conversations.
Workplace Communication Media
Viva Engage: Our company uses Viva Engage for work-related discussions, including groups for events and an internal marketplace. There the conversation should be considerate and respectful of others. We strive to share good advice and tips through it.
Robotic Process Automation (RPA):
Our benefit from RPA in tasks like invoice processing, where automation handles repetitive actions, saving time.
RPA is e.g. creating custom graphs for clients based on service levels and hours is another useful application.
Self-reflection
It was intresting to evaluate the impact of digital tools on work efficiency and personal communication. Nowadays, messaging apps like Snaphat, WhatsApp and FaceTime dominate communication, even among older generations, but it is important to think about the content in which these can be used.
