My work and digital tools

In my work, I find out the customer´s overall situation, the available services and caring entities, as well as treatment contacts. I draw up an individual health and care plan in co-operation with client and the care providers an if necessary, I direct the entirety on social and health care services. I use in my work the patient record system Mediatri. After reception, customer feedback is asked using the application on the work phone. I use the Elisa Ring application for calls. I use the laptop and mobile phone as work equipment, Google Maps is frequently used during home visits. In daily use is also intranet, e-mail, cloud services, Teams and other Office package. Essi is used to apply for trainings and holidays. Numeron is used to mark working hours.

Customers may often be thosen who do not have digital skills, so to work includes a lot of quidance an advice. For example Siun sote´s digital service and Omakanta are directed for customer. Digital tools what I use are more than I need at my work, because it depends what are customers needs.

Five new apps

Those Apps are usefull for real use to employer or customer. Every digital apps needs digital skills, equipments or technology. Negative side is, that everyone don´t have financial opportunity to purchase equipment. Positive side is that many services is faster to use.

  • Mobile certificate (Mobiilivarmenne)

You can log in to different online services by using Mobile certificate. It is safe and esasy to use. Unfortunately hackers have gained access to people´s bank ID and access to bank accounts. Mobile certifcate prevents this use. User need some digital skills, whitch can be an obstacle, but not impossible. At my work I could guide customers to use a Mobile certificate.

  • YouTube

This is usefull to make and show intructional videos to customers. Negative side is that you need digital skills and computer or another digital device watch those videos.

  • Instagram

Instagram research user of different ages, especially younger users than Facebook. Health and social services use Instagram to information and find employers. Instagram is for limited group of users, so it doesn´t reach everyone.

  • Facebook

Facebook users are mostly middle ageed or older. By using Facebook can reach a wider target audience than Instagram.

  • ChatGPT

AI and ChatGPT are developing all the time. Everyone should learn to use AI in everyday matters. Many people are exited about using AI.  I think that we could make it easier to use by including AI in everyday. For example AI can help withd baking or other kitchen tasks.

Self evaluation

This course has been interesting and it learned many new things. I think that many new learned thing are usefull in the future. And I think, that I surpassed myself in a positive way and from now I am braver in many new situation.

I also learned different services, apps and ways to operate and utilize digital channels. It has been interesting to read other students blogs.
