Digital experience

My personal digital experience started when I was young, I use to play Commodore games with my brother and friends. Then it was quite high-level and huge experience, nowdays it makes me smile. Oh, what memories! I was 21 years old when I went to computer course and I was in flames! That feeling, when I learned so much about computers, programmes, applications etc., was wonderful start to technical wolrd. But something happend and I started studing, not ICT, as a nurse. When I worked as nurse in ER and intensive care, it was so easy to use technical machines and digital systems.

My work in social and health system don’t use tecnological as much as possible. When I meet client, it happens face to face meetings almost always. We meet in healt center or clients home. My workingarea is large and sometimes I drive 200 kilometers per day. Covid-19 gave little better for technological system and now I can arrange multi-professional meetings using Teams. Sometimes e-mail, Teams, phone ring and alarm sametime and working gets interrupted. Digitalization and technology enable that employers are available all the time. Is is too much and does it make more stressfull work?

It think that digitalization give more opportunities to social and health system. Clients and patients could have advice and information also in evening and night without face to face contact. There is so much what can do before doctor meeting. And when problem needs, triage happens first and it savet ime and money. At myt job, we need give client and professional right instructions about health and care plan.

Risks of open digital society

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) give safe for people and organisation and give same orders to everyone. In my job it give safe to me, other professionals and customers/client/patient. I can see, that GDPR give positive possibles to safe work. But there is something negative, not GDPR, but about information and instructions. In my job and organization dont´t have information for practical work and practical workers. In social and health system use private information and it´s our job make sure that secret stays in system and only right professional can have information.

About Chat GPT and my work

AI answers was just like my work and job is. AI answer about social and health service coordinating included administrative coordination, multidisciplinary collaboration, client-centered service planning, information exchange and management & preventive action. AI answered that the goal is to provide clients with a seamless service experience that meets their diverse needs and promotes their well-being, which is what I say when I tell someone what I do for work. Now AI answered right, but we have to remember that user/person is responsible that I and we accept answer.

Self evaluation

I learned that digitalization has change many services, health and social system but also our way of thinking. Sometimes it’s good to stop and think if all the development is necessary. Digitalization helps many ways but there is always need for other ways of working. I need to learn more about how consider people’s needs more broadly.
