During my first week of internship, I gained valuable insights into unique needs and challenges faced by elderly population. I observed the importance of compassionate and patient -oriented care, as well as the significance of effective communication with the both patients and their families. I tried to learn about various age-related health problems, importance of medication ,management and the impact of social interactions on well being of older adults. My mentors guided really well and explained each thing which is necessary during this practice.
My internship place is basically assistance care residence for elderly people. The most of residents are able to manage their daily work with help of little guidance. Mainly, nurse takes care of medication and monitor their physical activity routine. I assisted few clients in their daily tasks during this week.
