I use Microsoft Office tools in my work. Teams is the most popular channel for sending and receiving messages. I have plenty of different teams channels where you can message different groups. Meetings are usually held through teams.

Using Outlook has decreased all the time, but it is still in use. Power Point is an important tool for using meeting materials. Excel and Word are also in use. On a daily basis, I use the Power Bi reporting tool.

In my job at the bank are uses several systems for different purposes, e.g. card system, crm, phone system and ticketing system.

YOU TUBE

You tube is Google’s video services. You can upload videos to YouTube or you can watch videos from there and comment on the videos made by others.

I’ve watched you tube videos, but I haven’t made them myself. In my work, I could use you tube to make videos about the work of a customer service representative. Would my team members be able to tell what the daily work is like? In this way, we could highlight the work of a customer service representative and thus get new employees interested in the job.

This would be important in order to increase understanding and get young people excited about customer service work. The work of the banking sector would also gain a wider understanding.

CHATGTP

Artificial intelligence is the future! ChatGTP is an artificial intelligence capable of producing text and information in the Finnish language.

I could use chatGTP in my work, e.g. for planning meetings, searching for information or solving problems. I could use customer service in creating work instructions, creating a business plan or, for example, planning personal development. ChatGTP also advises on managing one’s own work and organizing customer service. I can ask the artificial intelligence for ideas for producing text.

The bank where I work has both an internal and an external chatbot, which is an AI-based chat.

MIRO

Miro is a planning tool that can be used for planning and ideation in remote workgroups. When working in a workshop, this tool can be used to work as if everyone were in the same room. Different boards are used here, and different boards can be used to monitor how the team members work. Different boards can be shared with users and feedback, reviews and approvals can be received through different communication options.

Getting to know Miro was a pleasure, but I wouldn’t implement it in my organization at the moment, but maybe I could think about this later.

MONDAY

Monday is a cloud-based work management tool that provides tools for team collaboration, project management, scheduling and task tracking. Monday is popular among teams that want to effectively manage projects and tasks in a centralized system.

Would Monday be useful for me at work, it certainly would be!

EVERNOTE

Evernote is a digital note taking app. It allows users to save, organize and synchronize their notes between different devices. The application offers versatile features such as creating text notes, saving images and voice notes. Web page scrapbooking, creating to-do lists and searching for notes.

Evernote is widely used both for managing personal notes and for organizing work tasks and projects. It can be used to create, save and share various notes, ideas, information easily and efficiently. In addition, there are integrations with other applications.

I am seriously considering using this!

What are the elements of successful use of a digital application?

1. User friendliness; applications should be easy to use.

2. Performance; applications should load smoothly and quickly without any problems

3. Functionality; the application must provide the necessary functions and features that meet the needs of the users.

4. Visual design; layout and visual appearance are important for the user in terms of user experience

5. Security; the application must protect users’ information and privacy

6. Continuous development and updates; the application must be constantly developed and updated based on user feedback and to respond to changing needs and technological changes

7. Customer support and user support; the application should provide an easy way to get help and support in problem situations or questions.

8. Analytics and monitoring; the application must offer analytics tools that can be used to monitor user behavior and performance. In this way, strengths and weaknesses can be identified and necessary changes and improvements can be made.

Social media, pros and cons

The positive aspects of social media are communication and interaction. The possibility of easy communication with friends, family members and other people around the world. Communication is also easy and fast. The company can take advantage of the marketing and advertising opportunities in social media. Social media offers the opportunity to establish communities and networks with like-minded people. Social media is also an opportunity for creative expression, sharing photos and art.

Social media also has its downsides. Violation of privacy is possible, images or information may end up in the wrong hands. Phishing and identity theft have become more common. Social media is a time waster and this can have a negative effect. Social media can also cause comparisons between people, comparing oneself to others, and it can cause depression and have a weakening effect on self-esteem. Trolls and hate speech are disadvantages of social media. There is also room for improvement in the reliability of the information, a lot of false information and rumors are shared. You can become addicted to social media.

Self-assessment

While writing this blog post, I came across several social media tools. Some were more familiar, but some were completely unknown. I learned a lot while getting to know each other. First of all, how many different tools are there? I myself have used Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and different tools in my work. But how many others are there?

I used chatGPT to write this blog post and it taught me a lot. Certainly AI will now remain in constant use and I believe that it will help me a lot in my work and in my free time.
