Kela

I really don´t use Kelas website, but the assignments made before have made it clear what and how the website offers.

I also have a Kela-card and an European health care card. With Kela-card I can access the benefits when buying my asthma medication or visiting health care.

The website works quite well and I think that is quite easy to find what you are looking for.

Oma Kanta

I’m very familiar with OmaKanta. I have worked with it and used it very much with my own healthcare visits.

I think that OmaKanta is super. There in one place you can find your medication data, inform about x-rays taken, information about doctors appointments, you name it! It is not the easiest or the prettiest, but it really works.

At the time of Covid we could find our Covid documents there, too.

Even though I do not have kids, I think it is a good thing that parents can see their kids healthcare data too.

Keva

Keva is not familiar to me. My pension is not taken care of by Keva. I have my pension data in Varma. I don’t want to discuss about my pension amounts.

Online shopping

I think of myself as a daily (or weekly) user when discussing about online shopping. I order online basically everything I can. It’s easier, almost always cheaper and faster than going to supermarket or visiting a shopping center. I buy from Finnish online shops. I shop mainly cosmetics, pet food and home stuff.

Online you can also access faster the new products. It is also easier to compare things online than when you are actually at the store. If you need to ask for help, it is naturally easier at the store.

When shopping online you need to be careful, the prices aren´t always cheaper and the online store is not always reliable. That is one of the reasons I shop mainly in Finnish online shops.

Digitalization and digital gap

In my daily life I see many of those who are not used to digital world. That is something that we really need to think about when developing new digital services. We really need to have the “old version” available for those who don’t have bank credentials or even access to internet.

These are not just problems when talking about older people. We have a lot of foreigners without Finnish online banking credentials and them who do not have daily access to internet.

It is possible to handle almost everything online and that is so nice and easy – in my opinion. I’m still worried about those who can not use the online services. What can they use?

App from my field

I work mainly with the OmaMehiläinen app, so I can not really choose any other app.

OmaMehiläinen or MinMehiläinen is a app where you can book appointments, discuss with a doctor or nurse, check your laboratory results or many other things.

Naturally I think that the app is smooth and works well but I am working with it every day and I know that it really could always be better also. The one project I’m now working with is about the new and improved version of OmaMehiläinen. The new version is made with the help of customer feedback and I believe it’s going to be really nice and easier.

Digital Competence

I took the digital competence test and you can see my results here. The results tell me that there are things that I need to improve my knowledge about. For example things about storage and handling data are not so familiar to me when talking about the real technical view.

Self evaluation

This was a really nice assignment! It made me think about my knowledge and what I need to improve. It also made me think again about those, who have really poor digital knowledge and skills.
