Kela

Kela’s services are very familiar to me. During my studies, I received financial aid and I had a student loan so that I have been able to study in another locality. We have three children and we receive child benefit from Kela. When the children were small, we received a maternity kit, parental allowance and home care allowance from Kela. Kela’s services have been very important at different stages of life. I think that without Kela’s subsidies, I wouldn’t have been to study in other place. This is also the case for many people. We need to be happy that our country has a system like this. I have obtained a European Health Insurance Card, even though I do not travel much.

Omakanta

I use my Omakanta on a regular basis. From Omakanta you can see your own health information, medical visits and various certificates. In addition, you can easily renew recipes from Omakanta and view them. You log in to Omakanta through strong authentication, I use mobile verification and log in using my online banking credentials. In my opinion, logging in to Omakanta is quick and easy to use. I expect, the Omakanta to be developed even more diversely and actively. I have encouraged my family and friends to use Omakanta activitelly.

Keva

I took a closer look at Keva’s website. Keva pays a pension to public sector employees and is the largest pension provider in Finland. I looked at my own retirement age and income. If I retire at the age of 63, I would receive a pension of about 1600e. If I continue to work until I am 68 years old, my pension would be good 2000e. I was surprised how high is my estimated retirement age. It’s easy to find information from Keva’s website. I think that many people don’t yet know that their estimated retirement age can be seen from these pages.

Online shopping

I check out the shops on the list. Ebay and Trivago are the most familiar to me.

I think the best-known stores like Ebay and Amazon are the most reliable. I think both sites are logical, and the information is on display. Many people order from other countries and are satisfied with their purchases. The price level in other countries is often much cheaper than the local shops, but the quality may not be good. In addition, the purchase does not always correspond to what the sales picture suggests. It is not possible to get all purchases from Finland, so it is good that it can be ordered from other countries.

Trivago is more familiar to me than Booking.com. I find both pages clear and pleasant. The information is easy to find and accessible to consumers. Both pages seem reliable. I haven’t booked a trip or hotel before through these services, but I think I would. I think that these price levels are the same as for local services. Comparing prices is easier online.

My chosen application – Terveysportti

I remember using Terveysportti ever since I’ve been studying to be a nurse. When I was working as a nurse in an outpatient practice, it was invaluable support in many respects. There’s a lot of information in the Terveysportti, so much that I’m not sure if I know everything. If I don’t know in my work, I often look at the Terveysportti for help. Terveysportti is a very versatile and important application in my work. It is also used by many workmates.

Digitalization and digital risks

The development of digitalisation brings with it a lot of opportunities and new functions. Health services can be easily accessed at home and some services are available 24 hours a day. These functions are evolving more and more. Not all people have access to the internet and there is no device available for this purpose. Consequently, these services will not reach them. As technology advances, it is important to go ahead of people, not all services can be digitised.

Digital skills- test

The digital test was nice and interesting to do. The three sections where I scored the most points were Social Awareness (98%), Critical Evaluation (92%) and Collaboration (88%).

Self evaluation

This mission was very interesting. It was interesting to visit different digital services. Everything wasn’t familiar before to me. I read other student’s writings on the subject and found many new digital services that I hadn’t heard of at all before. In addition, the digital skills test was fun. The mission brought me information about different applications. I was surprised how high my calculated retirement age is. I feel like it’s way too high.
