Based on reading and reflection on knowledfe management practices and personal development needs, I can identify several potetion areas of improvement to meet my personal development needs.
The weakest skill I identified was integration of social and intrapersonal skills, which were highlighted in the study by Rory Eckardt. Ot os essential to prioritize the development of these skills. I may need to seek training or courses focused on communication, interpersonal relationships and emotional intelligence.
Strategic competency development needs to be aligned with my personal development goals as outlined in Riitta Viitala’s study. This is crucial for my career advancement. Best choice is to enroll to a executive program focused on strategic management and leadership.
I also need to embrace continuous learning and adaptibility. Especially, because I work in a high tech industry, in which change is fast and continuous. Best way to focus on developing myself is self-study, company workshops and seeking mentorship from more experienced colleagues.
Effective feedback mechanism and self-assessment practices would help me identify areas of improvement and tracking personal growth. Implementing regular check ups with my supervisor and creating a self-reflection excercise allows me to keep track on how I am doing.
The importance of networking an collaboration becomes a valuable asset, when thinking about professional growth. Actively seeking opportunities to expand networks and finding new peers in this industry is important. This is best done by participating in industry events, associations and company workshops.
