DIGI CITIZEN

KELA / OMAKANTA

I use my own account regularly because of my own basic illness, it is easy to put a prescription in a renewal request through my own account, and it is easy to check the results of regular blood tests from my own account. Even during Corona, it was easy to scan the Corona vaccine certificate from the service for your own use. Using your own account is easy with your own bank IDs.

I have also already acquired a European healthcare card. I have had the card in use for several years. When traveling in Europe, the card has always been included, but there has not yet been a need to use it. I’ve used Kela visu more during my studies than now lately. Now I am 100% in working life, previously I received Kela’s study support and housing support. Back then, it was easy to fill out the applications and send them through Kela’s website. The last visit to Kela’s website was to pay the YHTS season fee.

KEVA / VARMA

After logging into Keva’s website, it turns out that I am Varma’s customer and not Keva’s. Therefore, I cannot see my accumulated pensions on Keva’s website. According to Varma’s pages, the estimated pension at age 68 would be 1930e/month, this is also my current lowest retirement age.

I have used some digital shops, such as Booking and eBay. In my opinion, the information on the website can be very incomplete. So, as a consumer, you have to be really careful about what you buy and where. One thing that I consider myself in these is also paying, what kind of options do I have. The price differences can be large, so the user of the pages must be aware of the price and roughly know what a similar product costs somewhere else. In my work, the most central service / application is my own position. Customer appointments are recorded in the patient information system, from where they are transferred to Omakanta. However, I have heard from customers that there is often a long delay in postings to Omakanna. Today, even a 10-year-old can make a decision about access to information for his own parents. The texts of the Omakanta may not be visible, for example, to the parents of a 12-year-old if the young person does not give permission for the handover. Dealing with your child’s information in Omakanna can also be very challenging. These are the most central challenges that appear with this service in my field of work.

My Digital Competence Test:

——————————————————————————————————–

The task reminded me to think about digital services in my own field of work and the possibilities they bring to work. These are sometimes difficult to understand and remember. There are many kinds of services on the Internet with many information and prices. Nowadays, when working with services, one must be even more aware of the choices made and the provision of information, for example payment for one’s information.
