DIGI CITIZEN

I can only wonder about this change that has taken place in the digital environment in recent decades. Change has happened everywhere, but it can be seen both in your own life and in the world of work.
It is told on OmaKanta pages that, you can read the records related to the treatment, request a renewal of the prescription, check the results of laboratory and X-ray examinations, gradually see social services information, save your own treatment will and organ donation will, gives permission for the disclosure of own data or prohibits their disclosure.
I use the Kanta service to renew prescriptions, review laboratory responses and x-ray results, and review my own health information by logging in with the credentials through banking services.
KELA is a state institution that administers basic security for people living in Finland in various life situations. Kela's customers are all persons living in Finland and living abroad covered by Finnish social security. At the moment, when I am on sick leave, Kela has paid the employer a sick day fee. I have also paid the student's healthcare fee. In autumn, I might be on study leave and I need Kela's services and I'm applying for adult education money. It's great that we have such a system in Finland. I have acquired a European healthcare card years ago and of course I will take it with me on the upcoming study trip to Brussels, which will take place next week.
KEVA
Information on pension accruing employment and earnings as well as benefits paid for unpaid periods has been collected for the occupational pension extract. The occupational pension extract has not taken into account the possible effect of the deferred increase. My own minimum retirement age is 65 years and 7 months, which I will reach on 11.06.2034.
The KEVA website tells you that you will receive your documents - such as the pension decision and annual letters - faster when you choose a paperless service. Your documents are stored electronically in the Omat eläketietosi service, so you can read or print them at any time. The paperless service is an environmentally friendly and safe way to handle pension matters. Good, this suits me fine.

I visit digital stores a lot these days. I mostly buy clothes and shoes for myself from known online stores. Sometimes I compare, for example, the prices of shoes in different online stores.Nowadays, it is easy to do business in digital stores and I dare to buy from stores where I have bought before. I have been cheated once. The product came from China and it was made very difficult to return the product. In addition, the product was not what I had seen in the picture. I have learned from this mistake and look carefully at which digital store I buy from. In addition to this, I compare the prices of trips abroad from different digital stores such as Trivago and Booking.com.

In my work, I use Terveysportti a lot. Terveyportti facilitates and speeds up the daily work of healthcare professionals by providing the necessary medical information in one place. Today I booked also an appointment with an occupational health doctor online. I think its use is easy and safe and I can see the occupational health doctor's texts in the Kanta service. The entries have been factual and understandable.

DIGITAL GAP
I feel that the elderly in Finland are excluded from services because they do not know how to use digital services. Digital services should be designed to be user-friendly and easy to use so that elderly people know how to use these services. Also poor people can not afford to buy smart devices and are in danger of being excluded from society because of it. Fortunately, there are places where you can use the devices for free, such as libraries, schools and employment agencies.

Self evaluation:
The use of digital services is under my control. In addition, I have surpassed myself and now know how to blog. I have used a lot of digital services of public organizations, such as Kanta service and Kelan service. Since I am already almost 55 years old, I have visited Keva's website before to check my exact retirement age. I try to keep my physical health as good as possible so that I can, for example, work as a nurse when I retire. I also try to keep my digital skills good so that I can work as long as possible. Today, a nurse's job involves a lot of computer work and it requires familiarity with various platforms and databases. The nurse must manage these so that he can work in health care where all patient registrations are done electronically. All in all, this digital course gave new food for thought and useful general education information on the subject.
