The fourth started with different atmosphere at the kindergarten. The fourth week was the winter holiday, this made most of the kids absent from kindergarten. Luckily for me, the kids aged 3-5 were all merged in one place. There was nothing much to do in this week in winter break holiday as my focus was child’s play and activities.
The teachers from the other groups Introduced me to the children, I started to familiarise myself with kids from other groups as we were new to each other. At the beginning of this week, the children were taken to the forest to play and explore nature, Safety precautions were taken, such as putting on safety reflective vests for all the children, the children holding hands while walking to the forest, a teacher guiding them in front, a teacher in the back, and I was standing at the back with a teacher to guide the kids . A straight line was maintained on the pedestrian path so that people and bicycles could travel freely.
After spending few weeks in the kindergarten, some of the kids have shown some Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) symptoms in them, although they have not been diagnosed by a medical doctor yet, but I understood these symptoms with my theoretical knowledge. I tried to help these kids with child play and activities such as Playing with a small ball or an item every time when he sits down which can help him engaged, calm, and focus his attention on the ball or item in his hand. Similarly, informing him ahead of time about what is going to happen by using an application on the Paivakoti phone called mouse timer, this application helps with time management and get the kids ready ahead of the next activities or play.
Every play and activities done in this week were done to help the children’s mental health, and put their social well being at the optimal level.

Hei Jamiu!
I don’t find the learning assignment from your blog.
Here is the copy of the instruction text from the guidelines of the internship
“ASSIGNMENT FOR INTERNSHIP:
Choose a child patient from your training unit and participate in the child’s care. Find out by different means what kind of play the child prefers. Search evidence-based information on age-specific plays and activities, guidance, preparation of the child for the ward and intervention, as well as significance of hospital experiences for children. Plan and put into practice a situation where you apply your knowledge about play and the use of it in adapting the child for something new, for example preparation of the child for intervention or dealing with the experiences of the child. Enter data of your activity in the child’s nursing care plan. Write down notes of the situation and self-evaluation of your performance, record the feedback received from the tutor, child/family/colleagues. Mention also references you used. Enter data on implementation of the assignment in the blog”
If you haven’t planned and implemented this kind of plying situation for any child, you have to look backwards some playing situation and describe and explain it according the instruction text above.
I hope that you are able to do this as soon as possible and inform me when you have done it.
